The Botanical Garden was established in 2009 on an area of 17,000 m². With 750 plant species and more than 30,000 plants, the Botanical Garden was created as an educational centre. Within the garden, there are special design gardens called Rock Garden, Open Seeded Plants Garden, Ottoman Garden, Colour and Fragrance Garden, Medicinal and Endemic Plants Garden, Zen Garden, Rose Garden, Japanese Garden and Aquatic Plants Garden.

Zincirli Bedesten, built by Darendeli Hüseyin Pasha in the first quarter of the 18th century, is popularly known as ‘Kara Basamak Bedesten’. The historical building, also called Et Hali (the Meat Market) because it had been home to butchers for many years, was later used as the Courthouse Building by constructing another floor on it, but this section was completely destroyed in the fire in 1957. Today, it serves as a touristic destination where souvenirs are sold.

Hızır Plateau, located on the Gaziantep – Adana highway, is approximately 130 km away from the city center. You can reach it by taking district minibuses to Altınözü and then a taxi from there. However, the long and transfer-required journey makes it quite difficult to reach. The ideal mode of transportation would be to go with your private vehicle. Hızır Plateau, where you can see all shades of green, offers visitors both a visual feast and plenty of oxygen at the top of the Amanos Mountains. Since there are no facilities in the camping area, you should meet all your needs from the settlements along the way. Camping Facilities: There are no facilities such as WC, electricity, and shower. You can meet your food and beverage needs from the settlements along the way before reaching the camping area or request from the locals living in the plateau houses. Huzur Plateau, where every shade of green can be seen and meets the blue of the sky, is located within the borders of İslahiye District, 125 km away from the center of Gaziantep. Huzur Plateau is the richest area in terms of plant and animal diversity in the Amanos Mountains.

Operating since 2015, Erikçe Adventure Park Children and Youth Camp Training Centre welcomes children not only from Gaziantep but also from all over Türkiye. This centre, which allows children to spend an enjoyable summer period, transfers the culture of living in nature to the new generation.

As Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, new initiatives have been realized with the slogan of a different perspective in tourism, guided by digital developments after the pandemic. With the world's shift towards different tourism areas, caravan tourism has begun to offer new opportunities to people. Gaziantep, which has meticulously completed its natural beauty and suitable infrastructure works, has combined the interest in 'Caravan Park' themed tourism areas. In collaboration with Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality and the National Camping and Caravan Federation, a pleasant area with a capacity for 16 caravans has been created for holidaymakers in the Yamaçtepe neighborhood (near Alleben Pond) in the Şahinbey district. The area prepared in Yamaçtepe neighborhood covers approximately 1,500 square meters and hosts a region where 16 caravans can comfortably spend their holidays. Additionally, the area built in a 400 square meter indoor space includes a television viewing room, reception, kitchen, laundry, toilets for the disabled, shower area, generator room, and storage areas.

The Commander Fountain, one of the symbols of Gaziantep, is one of the 150-year-old fountains built in 1915 by Sancak Beyi Şükrü Bey in memory of Commander İlmi Bey, who fell as a martyr on the Caucasus Front during World War I. This rare artifact from the Ottoman period has survived to this day.

Lala Mustafa Paşa Hanı was built by Lala Mustafa Paşa between 1571 and 1572. Initially constructed as a dark bazaar, it has evolved into its current form over time with various additions. The inn, which has a typical Ottoman caravanserai plan, features stables and merchant rooms on the ground floor surrounding the courtyard, while accommodation rooms are located on the upper floor. Throughout history, the structure has served as a caravanserai, a production and sales site for kutnu fabric, a weapons factory during the defense of Antep, and an olive oil workshop. Today, it functions as a marketplace where traditional handicrafts are preserved. In the courtyard, there is a dervish figure in memory of Ayd-i Baba, who lived here.

Kavaklık Kasrı, serving the people of Gaziantep for a century and becoming a symbol of Kavaklık, is located on a 16-acre land that was purchased from Hacı Hanefizade Mustafa Efendi for 100 kuruş during the Ottoman period in the 1700s and designated as a recreational area. It is said that the place was named Kavaklık due to the numerous poplar trees that were originally found in the area. The facility, used for military purposes by the French during the Defense of Antep, served as a tea garden, restaurant, and casino after the proclamation of the Republic.

Following the extensive renovation works carried out by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Theme Park, the second largest theme park in Türkiye, has been put into service again. The existing park, which has been serving our people for many years, has been given a modern structure with the renovation works. Within the scope of these renovation works, the outer walls of the park were removed, the activity areas were renewed and the entertainment equipment was updated. In addition, various arrangements were made to facilitate access to the park. With the renovation works carried out on an area of approximately 45,000 square metres, 17 new amusement rides were added to the park and a total of 30 different playground rides were provided. Within the scope of the renovation process, a new children's theatre area, cafeterias and various social facilities were added to the theme park and the existing ones were modernised. With these arrangements, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Theme Park maintains its position as the largest theme park in the region and the second largest theme park in Türkiye, and offers a more modern and entertaining environment to its visitors.

The canyon, located 21 km from the Araban district, begins at the Septimus Severus Bridge, which dates back to the Roman Period. If you walk south of Habeş Canyon, you can see the Roman road leading to the bridge; after a short distance, you arrive at the point where the canyon has its most beautiful U-shaped view. In the northeastern part of the same area, a rock with a Hittite relief can be seen.

You can participate in this experience with previous applications and join all activities conducted in the forest free of charge. The primary aim of this center is to promote unity, and various events are organized here, especially for children. Located outside the city, in the forest, Gizem Doğan Yaşayarak Öğrenme Merkezi showcases Gaziantep culture and solidarity. It was named after Gizem Doğan from Gaziantep, who tragically lost her life in the terrorist attack on Utoya Island in Norway in August 2011.

It is located in the city centre. The first construction date of the church was 1860. Since the Catholic Armenians of Gaziantep had financial difficulties in the construction of the church, it was built with financial support from the French King Napoleon III, French missionaries and the Catholic community. A large-scale aid campaign was organised for the reconstruction of the church, which later became non-operational. The old church was demolished and the construction of the present church started in 1898, which took two years and was inaugurated with a grand ceremony in 1900. The plan of the church was modelled after the Church of St Francis in Rome. Today the building is part of the EU-Türkiye Institute of Anatolian Archaeology and Cultural Heritage.

Built in 1723, the church was unearthed in 2005 during the road opening works of the municipality. There are two main entrance gates in the west direction. Dedicated to St Mary, the church was built under the presidency of the VIIIth Patriarch Bedros Krikor Catholicos. Pink marble and basalt stone were used as ornamental elements in the church built of cut stone. The church, which has three apses and is well preserved, now serves as Ömer Ersoy Cultural Centre.
